Accreditation status

Northeast Lakeview College was granted candidacy status for accreditation, effective June 16, 2016, by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Although NLC has yet to obtain full regional accreditation through SACS-COC, NLC students are able to receive federal financial aid (this excludes veterans funding) and nearly all Texas universities accept transfer credits from NLC provided they are in the Core. The school has a well recognized Drama department. .

Northeast Lakeview functions as an outreach site of San Antonio College so students can attend classes at Northeast Lakeview but enroll at SAC.
